At Psychotherapy Berlin it is our goal to help you find more joy, love and meaning in life. Our mission is to foster growth, authenticity and loving connections.

Why do people turn to us at Psychotherapy Berlin?

        Our clients want to…

  • Break free from unwanted symptoms
  • Make some real emotional changes
  • Feel more self-confident
  • Live a richer and fuller life
  • Have more love and connection in their life
You want to break free from symptoms that constrict your quality of live?
  • Low self-esteem
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Addictions
  • Feelings of emptiness

These are some of the common symptoms our clients are struggling with when they come to see us at Psychotherapy Berlin.

In order to help clients break free of these symptoms, at Psychotherapy Berlin we do not limit us to any particular school of psychotherapy. Instead we draw on a variety of scientifically proven methods for facilitating therapeutic changes. What matters to us most are the questions: What are the root causes of an individual’s  unwanted symptoms? What does really work for each particular individual taking into account his particular history and life situation? Click here or on "Causes and Cures" in the menu above to find out more about the causes of psychological pain and how it can be alleviated. Under "Causes and Cures" you will also find links to some interesting video presentations these topics.

You want to make some real emotional changes                Many people that contact us at Psychotherapy Berlin want to make real changes in their inner emotional world.

Often our clients have been in therapy before and were able to gain some important insights or make some useful behavioral changes with a previous therapist. However in many cases they did not yet suceed in making some desired emotional changes in their life. At Psychotherapy Berlin we draw on the latest research findings and therapy methods for unlocking the emotional brain in order to facilitate lasting emotional changes. In fact, one of the most consistent findings in psychotherapy research is that the success of any kind of psychotherapy depends largely on the degree to which clients are able to get in touch with their deeper feelings. At Psychotherapy Berlin we take this finding very seriously.

You want to learn to feel more confident                           It is striking how many successful people that appear very self-confident, actually struggle with low self-worth and low self-confidence.

In fact, feeling more self-confident is one the most frequently stated goals at Psychotherapy Berlin. Low-self confidence can have a multitude of reasons. But often there are some past emotional learnings that are locked in our emotional brain that negatively influence our feelings about ourselves. Therefore accessing and updating these emotional learnings is one of the main foci at Psychotherapy Berlin for helping people transcend feelings of shame, low self-confidence and low self-esteem. Other methods drawn on at Psychotherapy Berlin to tackle low self-confidence include skill building or life coaching techniques.

You want to live a richer, fuller life                                  Whether you are struggling with feelings of emptiness, meaninglessness, low energy and low self-worth...

...or whether you just have a sense that there could be more depth, joy and meaning in your life. At Psychotherapy Berlin we will help you discovering ways to leading a richer, fuller life. Often our capacity to experience joy is constricted by blocked access to our emotional self. Sometimes we just have gotten stuck in life situations that are not good for us – but we are unable to find our way out because we cannot see the forest for the trees. A Psychotherapy Berlin we will help you find and remove your own personal blocks to increased happiness.

You want to have more love and connection in your life      Building a happy, lasting relationship is one of the hardest things that we will ever do in our lives.

But it is also one of the most meaningful and most rewarding things that we will ever do. A happy relationship can fill our lives with emotional depth and a felt sense of meaning. It is very difficult to achieve true happiness in isolation. When we can find comfort in the arms of a loved one, then we have a shelter from the storms of live.  And science is revealing more and more about how happy relationships boost our emotional resilience and even our physical health. Yet unfortunately at school, we generally don’t learn how to create happy relationships. And if we weren't luck enough to see good models of happy relationships in our childhoods, then we lack an inner map that could help us build a happy relationship in our own life. Without such a map, we often get stuck in an unhappy relationship, or every new relationship ends in a similarly painful place as the one before. At Psychotherapy Berlin we draw on the new science of intimate relationships and love in order to help you acquire the knowledge and the skills you need in order to build a happy, lasting relationship in your life.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or if you would like to schedule a first session. You can contact Psychotherapy Berlin via Email or Phone. Below you will find a few answers to questions that often get addressed to us.

How many sessions does a psychotherapy at Psychotherapy Berlin require?

Many clients make significant progress within about 10-15 sessions. Our philosophy is to find and resolve the core issue related to a presenting problem. When this core issue is resolved, clients can continue growing without therapeutic help. Sometimes clients decide to also work on other areas of their lives once a core issue is resolved. When the core issue is a longstanding, "well-trained" pattern of relating to other people, then therapy tends to take longer. As a rule of thumb, treatment at Psychotherapy Berlin will be as long as necessary and as short as possible.

Where is Psychotherapy Berlin located?

Our practice for psychotherapy is located on the Griebenowstr. 10-11 in Berlin Mitte. It is close to Zionskirchplatz, Berlin Prenzlauer Berg. Please ring "Praxis am Zionskirchplatz" when you arrive at our practice.

Most private insurers tend to reimburse a certain amount of the session fee - usually around 40 Euros - and it typically requires a lot of paperwork for both therapist and client.

What therapeutic methods, models and tools might be used at Psychotherapy Berlin?

At Psychotherapy Berlin we don’t believe in limiting ourselves to only one method of psychotherapy. The choice of the therapy methods we use with a particular client depends on the following questions: What seems to be the main cause for the client’s psychological distress? What methods are most likely to facilitate desirable changes most quickly? What methods are most suited for the particular individual in his particular life situation?
